TERMS OF MEMBERSHIP – STATE PICKLEBALL CENTRE

Effective: 1 July 2025

1. AGREEMENT TO TERMS

By purchasing a membership or participating in any activities at the State Pickleball Centre (SPC), you agree to abide by these Terms of Membership and any policies displayed at the venue or communicated by SPC staff.

2. MEMBERSHIP INCLUSIONS

Membership grants access to SPC facilities and any applicable member-only perks, discounts, or programs as outlined in the membership plan you select. SPC reserves the right to update or change inclusions with notice.

3. FEES & PAYMENTS

·      Membership fees are payable in advance weekly.

·      Fees are non-refundable except as required under Australian Consumer Law.

·      A failed payment may result in suspension of membership until resolved.

4. BOOKING & COURT ACCESS

·      Members must book courts via the SPC system.

·      SPC may place limits on court bookings to ensure fair access.

·      Members must check in upon arrival.

5. CANCELLATIONS & FREEZES

·      Memberships can be cancelled with 14 days’ written notice.

·      SPC reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee if within a fixed-term commitment.

·      Memberships may be frozen for up to 2 months per year for travel, injury, or special circumstances with supporting documentation.

6. CODE OF CONDUCT

Members must:

·      Treat others respectfully at all times.

·      Wear appropriate attire and non-marking shoes on court.

·      Follow staff directions and all venue policies.

·      Refrain from abusive, disruptive, or dangerous behaviour.

SPC reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership for breaches of conduct.

7. LIABILITY & RISK

·      You acknowledge that participation in pickleball and related activities involves physical exertion and some risk of injury.

·      SPC is not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage sustained during use of the venue, except where due to our proven negligence.

8. PERSONAL INFORMATION

·      By signing up, you consent to SPC collecting and storing your personal information in line with our privacy policy for the purposes of administering your membership.

·      We do not share your information with third parties except as required by law or with your consent.

9. CHANGES TO TERMS

SPC may update these Terms from time to time. Members will be notified of any material changes, and continued use of the facility constitutes acceptance.

By holding a membership, you agree to these terms.
